Writing notes in Markdown
Every note on this site is a single Markdown file in the notes/posts folder on the server. The web server reads the file, converts it to HTML and wraps it in the site's layout each time someone opens it.
The file
A note starts with a short header between two lines of three dashes:

title: The title shown on the page
date: 2026-11-02
summary: One sentence for the list of notes.
---
Everything after the header is ordinary Markdown: paragraphs, bold, italics, lists, links, code blocks and tables.
The file name
The file name becomes the address of the note. It may contain only lowercase letters, digits and hyphens, and it ends in .md. Starting the name with the date keeps the list in order, newest first:

A note goes live the moment the file is uploaded. To take it down, delete the file.
